Published in Bankes’ “New System of Geography” London, c. 1790.  A detailed map of Germany as well as Poland, Austria and Switzerland. A legend showing the distances between major cities is shown upper right. Published at a time of shifting power and allegiances in Europe, where Prussia and Austria was becoming increasingly influential.

Map Condition: Margins chipped with creasing to lower left, else very good Map Type: Copperplate engraved map with hand colouring
