Description

A map of Celebes (Sulawasi) island the largest island in eastern Indonesia. The Portuguese first explored the island in 1512. The Dutch conquered the island in the 1600’s and several Dutch names exist on the map.From “Histoire Generale des Voyages”, Paris. Map Condition: Small closed tear left margin, a few extra creases lower margin, otherwise very good. Map Type: Copper engraved map hand coloured in outline.
