Published by Laurie & Whittle in “New and Elegant Imperial Sheet Atlas Comprehending General and Particular Maps of Every Part of the World” London, 1801

An interesting map showing all the various battles beginning with the Norman conquest of 1066 through the English Civil war -which was  in fact seven separate conflicts beginning in the 1630’s and lasting some twenty years. The last battle on the legend lists the Battle of Culloden in 1745, the final conflict in the Jacobite uprising. Second edition. cf. NMM #379

Map Condition: Reinforced centrefold verso, staining to margins and some light offsetting but otherwise a very bright and striking impression.  Map Type: Copperplate engraving with full hand colouring
