It was published in 6 volumes over the span of forty five years from 1572-1617. It was the first atlas specifically of town views, mostly of European towns (although there are a few of New World cities). A colourful view of the French town of Lille, showing buildings such as churches, hospitals and residential housing. Latin text verso

Map Condition: Creases and a few small chips/tears to margins but on the whole quite good. Map Type: Copperplate engraving with old hand colouring.
