A very detailed map of southern Mexico and Central America. Town, ports, rivers, lakes and volcanoes are indicated. The Society for the Diffusion of Useful Knowledge was founded in 1828 in London. It’s mission was to bring scientific and educational information to the masses by way of publishing inexpensive publications such as Sixpenny Treatises, Penny Cyclopaedias and maps.
