The New York Daily tribune published 17 maps as a supplement to its daily paper issued on July 30, 1861 (See LC Civil War Maps no. 6.2). These two maps were published 6 months later, published in the Daily Tribune, Feb. 8th, 1862.. The Battle at Fort Henry was considered the first significant Union victory during the Civil War under Ulysses S. Grant and the first to use ironclad gunboats. Map Condition: Margins trimmed, light spotting but on the whole good. Map Type: Woodcut engraved map.
