Published in Guthrie’s “New System of Modern Geography “. London, C. Dilly & Robinson c. 1780. Decorative cartouche lower right. A detailed map of the countries surrounding the Black Sea and the Balkan States. Europe was beginning to go under profound revolutionary change at the time when this map was published with much of the old regime being overturned.

Map Condition: A bit of offsetting in Mediterranean Sea with 2″ closed tear middle right margin just extending past neatline, as well as repaired tear along vertical fold line left, still very good.  Map Type: Copperplate engraving with hand colouring in outline
